Security and Data
Where we keep your factory’s data and how we protect it, in brief.
The path of your data
The path of your data: it is only read from the MES, ERP and PLC systems in your plant, and writing back to your systems is set up only with you. It is kept in a space of its own for your company on enterprise cloud infrastructure with restricted access, where no other company can see it. Every night it is backed up to a separate data centre and kept for 90 days.
Data and backups
- Where your data is
- Your data is kept on enterprise cloud infrastructure with restricted access. Backups sit in a separate data centre.
- Backups
- A backup is taken every night and kept for 90 days in a separate data centre. Restores are tested regularly.
Access
- Who sees what
- Each company sees only its own data. The rule is enforced by the database itself and tested regularly on the live system.
- Personal data
- We process employee and machine data on your behalf. We do not sell it or use it for advertising.
Your systems
- Your systems
- OnoTwin only reads from systems such as your MES, ERP and PLCs, and writes nothing. Connection details are open only to your company.
- Writing back to your systems
- If data needs to go back into your systems, for example an order status or a stop reason, we build it with you, to your needs and your security rules.
Incidents and updates
- If something happens
- Every security incident is recorded. If you are affected we tell you without delay; for personal data we keep to the 72-hour period of Turkey’s data protection law (KVKK).
- Updates
- The desktop app updates itself. Every change passes tests before it ships.
- Reporting a vulnerability
- If you find a security vulnerability in our products, write to [email protected]. We look into every report and get back to you; please keep the details private until the issue is fixed.
